  • The website is available and free for any web users. It is not necessary to be registered.  Non registered users can use the website to search for accommodation but will not be able to obtain contact details for the people offering accommodation.

    Non registered users searches do not undergo monitoring regarding the Bussola pages visited their origin, but in reference to statistical data (anonymous, not personal information).

    We wish to inform you that, under the Legislative Decree no.196 of 30 June 2003,  your personal data, supplied by you when registering, may be used, through the agency of electronic means, for any purposes concerning the service we offer you.  
    The treatment of personal data implies the collecting of, the registration of, organisation of,  conservation of, elaboration of, modification of, selection of, extraction of, comparing of, use of, diffusion of, deleting of, distribution of, interconnection of and anything else for any purpose concerning the carrying out of  the service we offer you, including a combination of two or more of any of the above operations.  
    Your personal data, registered following the compilation of the form, will be used exclusively to (depending on authorisation) send you your username and password.  These will allow you to access information regarding the published information about accommodation on the website www.bussolacasa.it and to activate all the necessary procedures allowing you to find accommodation.  Your personal data will be used for statistical purposes and to send you relevant information regarding the services offered by the website www.bussolacasa.it.  Your personal data may be passed on to landlords or students who come to the Bussola offering available accommodation.  It may also be passed on to external parties who carry out purposes connected with and useful to the provision of the service.  For example your personal data may be passed on to the management of our IT systems whose capacity to access said data is recognised by the law and by the authorities.    
    The treatment of personal data for the above mentioned purposes will take place, apart from on paper, through automatic and technological means, continuing to respect the law concerning the discretion and security provided for by the law and within procedures relevant to the protection of personal data.  In charge of the treatment of personal data is the Fondazione CEUR, Bologna, Piazza della Resistenza, 9.  You are in control of what personal data you pass on to us.  However, if you choose not to share your information our service may not be accessible or useable to you.
    Moreover, we would like to inform you that you may exercise all the rights recognised by the Legislative Decree of 30 June 2003, no.196 Titolo II, (see below), by sending a request to the Fondazione CEUR, Piazza della Resistenza, 9 – 40122 Bologna or by sending an email to .  The updated list of all people responsible for the treatment of personal data is available by sending an email to the above address.

    Rights of parties concerned (Art. 7 D.Lgs 196/03)

    1. A data subject shall have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data concerning him exist, regardless of their being already recorded, and communication of such data in intelligible form.
       
       
    2. A data subject shall have the right to be informed:
       a) of the source of the personal data;
       b) of the purposes and methods of the processing;
       c) of the logic applied to the processing, if the latter is carried out with the help of electronic means;
       d) of the identification data concerning data controller, data processors and the representative designated as per Section 5(2);
       e) of the entities or categories of entity to whom or which the personal data may be communicated and who or which may get to know said data in their capacity as designated representative(s) in the State’s territory, data processor(s) or person(s) in charge of the processing.
       
       
    3. A data subject shall have the right to obtain:
       a) updating, rectification or, where interested therein, integration of the data;
       b) erasure, anonymization or blocking of data that have been processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which they have been collected or subsequently processed; 
       c) certification to the effect that the operations as per letters a) and b) have been notified, as also related to their contents, to the entities to whom or which the data were communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared with the right that is to be protected.
       
       
    4. A data subject shall have the right to object, in whole or in part:
       a) on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, even though they are relevant to the purpose of the collection; 
       b) to the processing of personal data concerning him/her, where it is carried out for the purpose of sending advertising materials or direct selling or else for the performance of market or commercial communication surveys.

    SECURITY OF PERSONAL INFORMATION:

    Apart from the minimum security measures taken according to the law, the Bussola (Fondazione Ceur) controls the security of our database by applying extra security measures, such as:
    - backup of database. A daily backup of our database is saved – this involves the daily saving of (a copy) the database of the Bussola and all data therein (hard disk and optical drive) - update of our antivirus system every 6 hours. (Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition 7.5 Symantec Enterprise Security); 
    - no software or file downloads from the website of the Bussola. This eliminates any risk of downloading programs that could operate in an invisible mode or out of control in the users system;
    - firewall Sonic Wall Pro. The firewall is a protective barrier between the external web and our Bussola web server, preventing attacks, destruction or manipulation of personal data from unauthorized users;
    - The Bussola’s web server is constantly checked and updated regarding security/ performance;
    - The web farm is situated inside a secure area, provided with modern anti-fire and climate control facilities, granting continuous and adequate humidity and temperature levels and a two level electric provision system;
    The Bussola grants the right to obtain at any given moment confirmation of the existence of data, the correction of data, the update or elimination of data, the opposition of the treatment of the data and the right to exercise any rights as provided for by art.13 of the Legislative Decree no. 196/03.     We wish to inform you that your personal data, registered once you have submitted the form regarding inserting your offer on-line, will be managed by Fondazione Ceur  - titular of the treatment.  Your personal data will be communicated to our registered users, especially students, who are searching for accommodation and who intend to rent the bed, bedroom or apartment which you are making available.  Your personal data may be communicated to third parties, resident abroad (for example international exchange students) with the purpose and intent of using our service.  
    Your personal data will be used for statistical purposes and to send you relevant information regarding the services offered by the website www.bussolacasa.it.  Your personal data may also be passed on to external parties who carry out purposes connected with and useful to the provision of the service.  For example your personal data may be passed on to the management of our IT systems whose capacity to access said data is recognised by the law and by the authorities.

    INFORMATION regarding the completion of the certificate guaranteeing the safety of fittings
    (Legislative Decree 5 march 1990, no. 46 'rules and regulations for the safety of fittings')

    Following the agreement 2005-2008 made between Fondazione Ceur, Ufficio SAIS and the Università degli Studi di Bologna, International Relations Department, in order to make an offer of available accommodation visible to students partaking in the Erasmus programme, it is obligatory, for the party offering said accommodation, to declare the compliance of all fittings in the accommodation offered. However, with reference to Law 46/90 regarding the safety of fittings, we advise you to inform yourself regarding the specific technical requests by looking at the websites indicated here below or by contacting a qualified technician. We remind you that, if you have not done so, you can request the relevant certificate declaring the fitness of your fittings adhering to law 46/90 from the business which carried out works in the property or from a qualified technician. If however, you yourself are a tenant of the property offered and you do not have the certificate, you can request it directly from your landlord. These certificates are valid under law 46/90.
